I'm growth-oriented and thrive on creative problem solving. I care deeply about creating space for growth and learning. That's why I co-founded Compass Creative Dramatics eight years ago, a traveling children's theatre where students stretch their creativity and bravery muscles as they hone social skills like teamwork, respect, and empathy. We believe that theatre experiences in childhood are transformative by allowing students to take creative risks, build trust without self-judgment, and ultimately cultivate better humans for a better world. I’ve built Compass into a multi-six figure business by rejecting the business models and structures followed by standard theatres and focusing on the things I knew how to do best: connecting with people and teaching!
I've also been a practical instructor and communication coach for the last five years at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. There I work with medical students developing their communication skills through immersive simulation of patient encounters to better ensure that they offer care rooted in empathy and dignity that honors the full personhood of their patients.
My passion for education and creativity coupled with my natural ability in sales and communication has led me to serve as a coach and consultant for numerous businesses in both sales and communication.
I help entrepreneurs, executives, and sales staff unlock greater success by understanding that the key to increased growth and sales is empathy-based communication and relationship-focused-strategies.
I feel very passionately that the more we learn to authentically connect with people and the more we learn to be present with people and invest with people and genuinely have a service mindset whether that’s in sales or just living our lives, we’re better off, we’re better at our jobs, we’re better at our own humanity.
